Pentecost Sunday

Pentecost Sunday is a significant Christian holiday celebrated on the seventh Sunday after Easter. It commemorates the day when the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ, as described in Acts 2 of the New Testament. Pentecost marks the “birthday” of the Christian Church, as it was the day the apostles began to speak in different languages and boldly share Jesus’ message with people from many nations. The day symbolizes the gift of the Holy Spirit and the unity and mission of the Church. Pentecost is often associated with the color red, representing the fire of the Spirit, and is celebrated with joyous worship, prayers, and sometimes baptisms or confirmations.
